How to install centos8 in Qemu virtualization system – Kubernetes Learning Part 1

Welcome to our Linux learning video series! In this series, we will be exploring the fundamentals of Linux and Kubernetes  from installation ,  basic commands to  more advanced topics like networking and security.

Whether you’re new to Linux or looking to expand your knowledge, this series has something for everyone. In this video, we will show you how to install Centos8 . Later on we will  3 centos server to explain how to install Kubernetes cluster so if you’re ready to dive into the exciting world of Linux, let’s get started!”

What is Centos8

CentOS 8 is a Linux istribution that is based on the open-source software of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) 8. It is a free and community-supported operating system that provides a stable and secure platform for servers and workstations. CentOS 8 is designed to be compatible with RHEL 8 and is built from the same source code as RHEL 8.

CentOS 8 provides a number of features and benefits, including long-term support, security updates, and a wide range of software packages. It also includes support for a variety of hardware architectures, including x86_64, ARM, and IBM Power Systems.

However, it is important to note that CentOS 8 has been discontinued by its upstream provider, Red Hat, and will no longer receive updates or support. As an alternative, CentOS Stream has been introduced, which is a rolling-release distribution that serves as the upstream for RHEL.

What is Kubernetes

Kubernetes is an open-source platform for automating deployment, scaling, and management of containerized applications. It was originally developed by Google and is now maintained by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF).

Kubernetes allows developers to deploy and manage containerized applications on a large scale, across a variety of environments, including on-premises data centers, public clouds, and hybrid cloud environments. It provides a set of tools and APIs for automating the deployment and management of containers, including container orchestration, load balancing, scaling, and self-healing capabilities.

One of the key benefits of Kubernetes is its ability to simplify the deployment and management of complex, distributed applications, such as microservices architectures. With Kubernetes, developers can easily scale applications up or down based on demand, ensure high availability and resiliency, and automate the deployment of new features and updates.

Overall, Kubernetes is a powerful tool for managing containerized applications at scale, providing developers with a flexible, scalable, and robust platform for deploying and managing applications in modern, cloud-native environments.
